Excessive Heat Continues for Washington State; Flooding Impacts Expected in the Southwest U.S.

Excessive heat will continue over central Washington through Friday with afternoon temperatures into the triple digits. In the Desert Southwest, monsoon activity will continue to generate localized flooding impacts in arroyos, slot canyons, and urban areas, as well as rapid rises on rivers, through this weekend.
