Dangerous Heatwave Across the Western U.S; Hazardous Heat in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic

Intense and long duration heat building in the West will become more widespread today and Saturday. Excessive heat should expand northward into the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West, continuing through much of next week.
