   AMZ101-291515-  Synopsis for the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas  1012 PM EST Wed Jan 28 2026      .SYNOPSIS...An Atlantic front has become stationary from 31N46W  to eastern Cuba tonight. Behind the front, moderate to fresh  winds and rough seas in NW swell prevail. The front will meander  across this area through Thu. High pressure across the Gulf of  America will build eastward into the W Atlantic and freshen winds  behind the lingering front Thu through Thu evening, and nudge the  front southward to the Atlantic approach to the Windward Passage.  An unusually strong cold front will enter the western Atlantic  waters on Sat. Associated low pressure is forecast to deepen  rapidly across the NW Atlantic this weekend, inducing a large area  of westerly gale- force winds across the local waters N of 24N  Sat through Sun evening. The front is expected to reach from  31N74W to eastern Cuba Sat evening, and from 31N62W to eastern  Hispaniola Sun evening.    $$

E of 75W, N  to NE winds 10 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft in NW to N swell.  FRI  E to SE winds 10 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft in N to NE swell.  FRI NIGHT  SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.  SAT  W of 75W, W to NW winds 10 kt, becoming W 20 to 25 kt  early in the evening. E of 75W, SE winds 10 kt, shifting to W  15 to 20 kt early in the evening. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building to  6 to 9 ft in NE swell early in the evening.  SAT NIGHT  W winds 30 to 35 kt, increasing to 40 kt early in  the morning.
