   AMZ101-100945-  Synopsis for the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas  545 PM EDT Sat May 9 2026      .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends southwestward from northeast of  Bermuda to 31N61W, then continues westward as a weakening stationary  front to beyond northern Florida. Scattered showers and isolated  thunderstorms are lingering near this boundary north of 30N. The  stationary front will weaken further tonight and should dissipated  on Sun as the cold front portion shifts eastward. A stronger cold  front is expected to follow a similar path Mon through Tue,  followed by fresh to locally strong winds and rough seas.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some possibly strong to  marginally severe, are possible near this second front.  Meanwhile, the subtropical ridge over the western Atlantic will  support fresh to locally strong winds off northern Hispaniola  through Mon night.    $$
