.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Strong high pressure centered
N of the area will drift off to the NW tonight into Sat night,
and then slowly shift E early next week. Intensifying low
pressure centered about 240 nm NE of Cape Hatteras will track
slowly to the N and NW tonight into Sat night while approaching
western Long Island or New Jersey Sat night, then slow and turn
to the SW and S while weakening Sun. The low then drifts very
slowly NE along the coast Sun night through Mon night, then
tracks NE across the Gulf of Maine Tue and Tue night. A weak
high pressure ridge will build into the waters Wed and Wed night.
Mariners should continue monitoring forecasts, and consider
avoidance plans as needed. This will be a long duration event,
and highly impactful to the mariner into the weekend.
