...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON...
NORTHEASTERN RENSSELAER AND SOUTHWESTERN BENNINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH
615 PM EDT...

At 528 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Hoosick Falls, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bennington, Hoosick Falls, Arlington, Shaftsbury, Cambridge, Lee,
White Creek, North Bennington, Old Bennington, White Creek Station,
Center White Creek, Hoosick Junction, Paper Mill Village, Sodom, West
Cambridge, Chiselville, Post Corners, East Hoosick, East Buskirk, and
South Shaftsbury.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York...and southern Vermont.
