...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN SUFFOLK AND NASSAU
COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM EDT...

At 719 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Darien to 9 miles south of Long Beach.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Islip, Brentwood, Levittown, Freeport, Commack, Long Beach,
Huntington Station, Centereach, Shirley, Deer Park, Lindenhurst,
Plainview, Medford, Garden City, and Massapequa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
