Damage in both areas was consistent with straight-line wind damage. The damage in the Wainwright area was broad and generally from a west to east direction, with gusts up to 80 to 90 mph. The damage in the Oktaha area was produced by gusts of up to 75 to 85 mph, and showed no pattern. .VERDIGRIS OKLAHOMA TORNADO... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 to 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 5.3 miles Path Width /maximum/: 500 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/21/2024 Start Time: 05:27 PM CDT Start Location: 2 NNW Verdigris / Rogers County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 36.255 / -95.7074 End Date: 05/21/2024 End Time: 05:36 PM CDT End Location: 3 WSW Tiawah / Rogers County / OK End Lat/Lon: 36.2475 / -95.6135 Survey Summary: This tornado developed just north of Highway 266 and west of the S 4100 Road. It moved east, uprooting or snapping a few trees, and snapping numerous large tree limbs in a neighbor along and east of the S 4100 Road. The roofs of a number of homes were damaged, and trees were uprooted as the tornado moved through Verdigris. It moved east-southeast after crossing I-44, snapping large tree limbs until it dissipated south of the 530 Road and east of the S 4150 Road. .TIAWAH OKLAHOMA TORNADO... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 to 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.0 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/21/2024 Start Time: 05:39 PM CDT Start Location: 2 WSW Tiawah / Rogers County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 36.2486 / -95.5862 End Date: 05/21/2024 End Time: 05:41 PM CDT End Location: 1 WSW Tiawah / Rogers County / OK End Lat/Lon: 36.2557 / -95.5714 Survey Summary: This tornado developed west of the E 530 Road and moved east- northeast, uprooting trees, snapping large tree limbs, and destroying a metal carport. .QUINTON OKLAHOMA TORNADO... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 to 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.9 miles Path Width /maximum/: 300 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/22/2024 Start Time: 09:37 AM CDT Start Location: 1 W Quinton / Pittsburg County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 35.1235 / -95.3841 End Date: 05/22/2024 End Time: 09:44 AM CDT End Location: 2 E Quinton / Haskell County / OK End Lat/Lon: 35.1284 / -95.3336 Survey Summary: This tornado developed west of Quinton, to the north of Highway 31. The tornado uprooted trees, snapped large tree limbs, and damaged the roofs of homes as it moved east across town. It continued to snap large tree limbs as it crossed into Haskell County, dissipating north of Highway 31 and Highway 2. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ EJC
