There`s about a 15-30% chance of seeing isolated showers and storms this afternoon and evening, but most areas will stay dry. The strongest storms may produce gusty, non-severe winds. For tonight, lows will drop into the upper 60s to low 70s. && .LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... Issued at 233 PM CDT Sat Jun 15 2024 Precip Potential: Sunday looks dry but every other day through the long term has 15-30% PoPs as a warm, humid airmass stays in place. No focus for organized severe weather has been identified at this time. Temperatures/Heat: Sunday and Monday will see highs in the low to mid 90s and heat index values in the mid to upper 90s, but overnight lows in the low 70s will bring some relief. Tuesday through Thursday will see highs in the 80s and heat index values in the mid 80s to low 90s, along with overnight lows in the 60s. Heat returns Friday into next weekend with highs in the low 90s and heat index values in the mid to upper 90s. Issued at 651 PM CDT Sat Jun 15 2024 Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue through 03Z in the vicinity of Branson. MVFR and brief IFR visibility can be expected beneath any thunderstorms. Otherwise, VFR conditions are expected across southern Missouri through Sunday morning. Isolated showers and thunderstorms (20% chance) will again be possible Sunday afternoon in the general vicinity of Springfield and Branson. Confidence in thunderstorms is a bit too low at this time to include a PROB30 group. Surface winds will become light this evening before increasing out of the southwest on Sunday. Gusts approaching 20 knots will occur around Joplin and Springfield from late Sunday morning into the afternoon.
