FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE... SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES... .Morning Update... A coastal eddy churning off the coast gave way to low clouds pushing into the region within 20 miles of the beaches this morning. Visible satellite shows these low clouds clearing, which should give way to mostly clear conditions by later this morning into the afternoon hours. Also seen is wildfire smoke infiltrating into much of the LA Basin and Coachella Valley from two burns occurring near the Grapevine north of Los Angeles and another near Hesperia in the high desert. The afternoon sea breeze should help mix the air out some, but stay safe in the smoke and warm temperatures today across these spots. The deepening trough to the north will bring greater onshore flow to the region today, where inland areas will see temperatures 5 to 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. Breezy west/northwest winds will also occur across the desert mountain slopes into the deserts with winds near 25-40 MPH at times each afternoon and evening today and Monday. .Previous Discussion (315 AM)...
