...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest New Mexico, including the following
  county, northeastern San Juan.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 526 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the advisory area due to thunderstorms moving quickly
    northeast through Bloomfield, Farmington, and Aztec. This
    will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 0.5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Farmington, Bloomfield, Aztec, Flora Vista, Cedar Hill,
    Turley and Upper Fruitland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
