Rich subtropical moisture will remain over the area today and Saturday with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms and a risk of locally heavy rainfall and wet microbursts both days. After well below normal high temperatures most places today, temperatures will trend warmer Saturday through early next week as a high pressure system moves overhead. Moisture will recycle Saturday through Tuesday with daily rounds of scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms favoring central and western areas. A moist backdoor front looks to produce an uptick in thunderstorm coverage and rainfall intensity Wednesday and Thursday.
