A gusty gap wind will continue in the central valley today and tonight, peaking in strength this evening with gusts up to 55 mph in Santa Fe and up to 60 mph in Albuquerque below Tijeras Canyon. wind gusts up to 50 mph will also impact the Jemez Mountains and northwest highlands including Cuba tonight. Gulf moisture will spread northwestward across the state through the end of the week with cooler temperatures and scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms favoring eastern areas today, much of the forecast area Thursday, then mainly central and western areas Friday. A more monsoon-like pattern will then continue this weekend into early next week with warming temperatures and daily rounds of scattered to isolated showers and storms mainly over central and western areas.
