.DISCUSSION...

An upper level low is on approach from southern CA tonight and Friday morning.
This feature will result in scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms
Friday afternoon into Friday evening. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast
to develop rapidly near the Turkey mountains early Friday afternoon or possibly
as early as the late morning. Brief heavy rain, gusty outflow winds and small
hail are possible from the stronger storms. A ridge of high pressure returns to
northern NM Saturday.
