...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN COLFAX COUNTY
THROUGH 245 PM MDT...

At 221 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19
miles south of Stonewall, or 30 miles west of Raton, moving southeast
at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Vermejo Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern New Mexico.
