Fire Weather Forecast For Central/NE South Dakota WC MN
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
529 PM CDT Wed Jun 12 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Another frontal boundary progressing through the region could yield
a handful of strong to severe thunderstorms through early this
evening across and east of the Prairie Coteau of northeast South
Dakota. Then, later tonight, isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms could redevelop across the region and persist into
early Thursday morning. With high pressure building into the region
over the next 24 hours, winds on Thursday should be from the
northwest around 10 to 20 mph. Afternoon humidity levels on Thursday
are forecast to drop down to 25 to 30 percent west of the James
River valley, and down to 30 to 35 percent throughout and east of
the James River valley.
