.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will climb into the 80s today with northwest
winds gusting 20 to 30 mph across much of the area. Afternoon
humidity levels are forecast to drop to between 30 and 40 percent
for most areas.

On Wednesday, another frontal boundary will progress through the
region. Strong to severe thunderstorms may develop as early as noon
from the Coteau eastward into west central MN. Min RH will fall to
25 to 45 percent with lowest RH behind the front in north central
SD.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Wednesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
