777 FNUS63 KABR 240906 RFDABR Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 406 AM CDT Mon Jun 24 2024 .DISCUSSION... Hot temperatures and high humidity is set to move into the area today. High temperatures in the 90s will combine with those high humidity values to produce heat indices around 100 degrees this afternoon. The worst of the conditions will be experienced across the James Valley. A cold front sweeping through the area this afternoon will allow drier air to move into central South Dakota. Lowest relative humidity values will drop to between 25 to 30 percent for portions of north central South Dakota this afternoon. A couple of isolated thunderstorms will be possible across far northeast South Dakota into west central Minnesota late this afternoon. Some storms could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds.
