.DISCUSSION...

Precipitation chances increase across central South Dakota this
afternoon, then across the entire area tonight. A few strong, to
possibly severe, thunderstorms may occur across south central SD
this afternoon and evening. Minimum relative humidity will be in the
30 to 45 percent range, highest over central South Dakota. Winds
will increase out of the southeast this afternoon from north central
to south central SD, with gusts up to 45 mph possible for parts of
Corson and Dewey counties.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Saturday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
