A strong high pressure is settled in the eastern interior with a strong low pressure in the gulf is creating a surface boundary from the ALcan Border to Point Hope. This boundary is where we will see scattered thunderstorms develop today. We are expecting a lot of lightning associated with these storms as well as hail up to an inch and gusty erratic winds as strong as 40 mph.
