...DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Visibility one half mile or less in dense smoke.

* WHERE...Tanana Flats and Eielson AFB and Salcha.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT today.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
  Dense smoke can the breathing of people with respiratory
  illness.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dense smoke combined with fog is producing
  low visibility from Eielson AFB southwest. Smoke and fog will
  thin by noon today.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with respiratory illnesses should remain indoors to avoid
inhaling smoke. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and
leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
