High pressure shifts farther offshore through today, and will remain in control of the weather across the region. Hot and dry conditions also remain in place, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and Min RH values of 35-45%. Breezy SSW winds gusting in the 20-25 mph range are also expected by this afternoon. A chance of showers and storms arrives Sunday evening into Sunday night and continues into Monday across southeast VA and northeast NC. Unfortunately, rain amounts will be unimpressive outside of the heaviest storms, generally between 0.10" and 0.30", locally higher in coastal NE NC.
