...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA...
  Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA...
  Rappahannock River from Urbanna to Windmill Point...

At 636 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from Longs Creek Inlet to near
Stingray Point to near Mobjack Bay, moving east at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Windmill Point, Nassawadox Reef, Wolf Trap, Rappahannock Range Light,
Rappahannock Light, Nandua Pungoteague Reef, Gwynns Island, Gwynns
Island Reef, Anglers Reef, Stingray Point, Hole In The Wall, Onancock
Inlet, Occohannock Reef, The Cell, Cherrystone Reef, Longs Creek
Inlet, and San Marcos Wreck.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
