...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the
  following counties, Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Schoharie.

* WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
    flooding.
  - Another line of storms will move into the area in the next
    hour which will lead to additional flooding for poor drainage
    and low lying areas.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Rotterdam, East Greenbush, Cohoes,
    Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Scotia, Delmar, Latham,
    Guilderland, Niskayuna, Duanesburg, Menands, Ravena, Berne,
    Voorheesville and Green Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
