...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL COLUMBIA AND EAST
CENTRAL GREENE COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM EDT...

At 738 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Philmont, or near Chatham, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Chatham around 745 PM EDT.
  Austerlitz around 750 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Burden Dock, Rossman,
North Hillsdale, Brick Tavern, Harlemville, West Ghent, Fitchs Wharf,
Newton Hook, Buckleyville, and Oak Hill Landing.

This includes Interstate 87 near exit 21.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
