BERKSHIRE...NORTHEASTERN DUTCHESS AND SOUTH CENTRAL COLUMBIA COUNTIES
THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...
At 1207 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Millerton, or 13 miles south of Great Barrington, moving east at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Sheffield, Sharon, Norfolk, Otis, Canaan, Millerton, Sandisfield,
Falls Village, Winsted, Ashley Falls, Salisbury, New Marlborough,
Colebrook, Monterey, South Norfolk, Sodom, South Canaan, Hartsville,
Konkapot, and Wangum Village.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
