...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BERKSHIRE AND
SOUTHEASTERN COLUMBIA COUNTIES THROUGH 915 PM EDT...

At 831 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Copake, or 13 miles southwest of Great Barrington, moving east at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Great Barrington, Copake, Sheffield, Ancram, Ashley Falls,
Housatonic, Hillsdale, New Marlborough, Taghkanic, Monterey, Alford,
East Sheffield, Hartsville, Konkapot, Gomorrah, Weed Mines,
Craryville, Newsboy Statue, North Hillsdale, and Alander.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
