...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WARREN AND
NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 202 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chestertown, or 7 miles northwest of Warrensburg, moving east at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Warrensburg, Chestertown, Bolton Landing, Huletts Landing, Mount
Hope, Bolton, Shelving Rock, Starbuckville, Riparius, Silver Bay,
Pilot Knob, Sabbath Day Point, South Horicon, Brant Lake, Iron
Furnace, Riverbank, North Bolton, Hogtown, Darrowsville, and South
Bay Village.

This includes Interstate 87 between exits 24 and 25.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
