* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Bennington County in southern Vermont...
  Windham County in southern Vermont...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 347 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Stamford, or
  near Bennington, moving east at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Bennington, Brattleboro, Townshend, Pownal, Putney, Vernon,
  Wilmington, Stamford, Readsboro, Newfane, Guilford Center, West
  Wardsboro, Guilford, North Bennington, Whitingham, Dover, Marlboro,
  Wardsboro, Halifax, and Brookline.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for western
Massachusetts...east central New York...and southern Vermont.
