...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...
Minnesota...

  Cedar River at Charles City affecting Floyd County.

  Dobbins Creek at Austin 2NE affecting Mower County.

  Turtle Creek Near Austin 3NW affecting Mower County.

.Heavy rain from Friday and Friday night has resulted in flooding
along the Cedar River, Dobbins Creek, Turtle Creek. The flooding in
the Austin area has closed Interstate 90 between Highway 56 and
Oakland Avenue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this morning to a crest of 19.0 feet this evening. It will
    then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    19.2 feet on 04/12/2001.

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Charles City.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to late Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Fourth Street at South Grand Avenue begins
  to flood. East Riverside Drive at Brantingham Streets are closed.
  Sandbag efforts begin along Chautauqua Avenue.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 7.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 18.0 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday
    evening.
