...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD...
NORTHWESTERN ALLAMAKEE...WINNESHIEK...NORTHEASTERN CHICKASAW AND
SOUTHEASTERN FILLMORE COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM CDT...

At 428 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mabel to 6 miles northwest of Protivin.
Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Decorah, Cresco, Calmar, Spillville, Fort Atkinson, Canton, Ridgeway,
Protivin, Hanover, Vernon Springs County Park, Festina, Vernon
Springs, Hesper, Nordness, Highlandville, Lake Meyer County
Park, Quandahl, Bluffton, and Locust.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northeastern
Iowa.
