...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN CORTLAND AND WEST
CENTRAL CHENANGO COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM EDT...
At 715 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Virgil, or near Cortland, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Virgil, Cincinnatus, Willet, Marathon, Pitcher, Lapeer, Pharsalia,
German, Mc Donough, and East Freetown.
This includes the following highway exits...
New York Interstate 81 near 9.
