...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL SENECA...CENTRAL CAYUGA
AND SOUTHWESTERN ONONDAGA COUNTIES THROUGH 845 PM EDT...
At 805 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Union Springs, or 7 miles southeast of Seneca Falls, moving east at
35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Auburn, Fayette, Owasco, Fleming, Skaneateles, Marcellus, Union
Springs, Niles, Aurora, and Levanna.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
