Partly cloudy skies cover most of the region, with cloud coverage
expected to increase throughout the day from west to east. Some
breezy southeasterly winds are also possible across western
portions of the region during the daytime hours. Shower and
thunderstorm chances return to eastern Montana and the western
Dakotas this afternoon and evening, with some of these storms
potentially becoming strong to severe. Highs this afternoon are
forecast from the upper 70s northeast to the lower 90s in eastern
Montana and southwestern South Dakota.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue through the
weekend, with more strong to severe storms possible over the
Dakotas on Saturday. Breezy conditions are anticipated on Sunday.
High temperatures will broadly be in the 70s and 80s, perhaps with
some locations approaching the lower 90s Saturday.
