...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN LAMAR COUNTY THROUGH 715
PM CDT...

At 628 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Detroit, or 13 miles northwest of Sulligent,
moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. Gusty winds may occur before
         rainfall begins.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Sulligent, Detroit, Beaverton, Crews, Henson Springs, and Pine
Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
northwestern and west central Alabama.
