429 WGUS85 KBOU 202306 FLSBOU Flood Advisory National Weather Service Denver CO 506 PM MDT Thu Jun 20 2024 COC123-210200- /O.NEW.KBOU.FA.Y.0027.240620T2306Z-240621T0200Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Weld CO- 506 PM MDT Thu Jun 20 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following county, north central Weld. * WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 506 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grover and Hereford. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
