Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
244 PM MDT Wed Sep 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday... Thursday will be dry with
mostly sunny skies. While minimum relative humidity values will
drop to the teens, winds will be light enough that no critical
fire weather conditions are expected. Smoke dispersal will be good
to very good.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday... It will
remain dry and warm for Friday. Humidity levels will drop into the
teens across the plains, foothills, and high mountain valleys. It
will also be a little breezy in the afternoon which will elevated
the fire weather conditions, but critical conditions are not
anticipated as most gusts should stay around 20 mph.

Wetting precipitation is becoming more likely for late Saturday into
Sunday. Significant precipitation amounts will be possible,
depending on the storm track and evolution. Temperatures will drop
below normal this weekend and then stay below normal into early next
week.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
