Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
341 AM MDT Fri Jun 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Plenty of moisture and
scattered to likely showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon and evening. Critical fire weather conditions are not
expected with humidity levels only dropping down to around 30%
and fairly weak low level winds.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...High pressure
aloft begins to build over the Central and Southern Rockies this
weekend. Temperatures get very warm to hot for Sunday and Monday
with highs in the mid to upper 90s over northeast Colorado. Weak
high-based showers and thunderstorms will be possible each
afternoon over the higher terrain. Gusty outflow winds will
accompany the showers/storms and any rainfall will be light.
Slight relief from the heat will be possible Tuesday as a weak
cold front pushes through. Winds this weekend and early next week
are expected to be on the light side, except under and near the
showers/storms.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
