.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday...Drier weather will move into
the area tonight and Monday. It will be chilly tonight with
clearing skies and light winds, but warmer Monday with lower
humidity levels. Northwest breezes will increase across the
mountains and northern border area where winds gust to around 20
mph. Smoke dispersal will be good to very good during the
afternoon hours Monday, in all but the far eastern plains.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...A cool front
will pass through the forecast area Monday night into Tuesday,
though precipitation is not expected. Expected dry conditions
with above normal temperatures through the week will decrease
relative humidity to the high teens to low 20s across the forecast
area. The driest conditions are expected on Thursday where
portions of the plains may see relative humidities drop to near
critical values, however, winds are expected to remain below
critical thresholds throughout the week. There will be periods of
fair to very good smoke dispersal each day, aside from Wednesday
where widespread poor smoke dispersal is expected.
