404 FNUS55 KBOU 202128 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 328 PM MDT Fri Sep 20 2024 .DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...Dry and warm weather with elevated fire weather conditions will be replaced with cooler weather and higher humidity readings. A cold front will move across the plains and back into the foothills very late tonight and early Saturday morning. Temperatures will fall back to below normal readings, while high mountain valleys have one more warm day. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop and spread northeast into the area during the late afternoon as the next storm system approaches. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday... A storm system should will provide a wetting rain and/or snow across the forecast area through the first half of Sunday. Well below normal temperatures are forecast for Sunday. A weak storm system or two may pass through the region Monday and Tuesday with light precipitation, with a warming and drying trend after that.
