.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...Showers and thunderstorms
will continue to track northeast across eastern Colorado through
this evening. A second round of showers and weak thunderstorms
will be possible across the Front Range this evening. By sunrise
Saturday morning, rain will be east of Colorado. Warmer and drier
conditions return for Saturday. Isolated/scattered high-based
gusty showers are expected Saturday afternoon. Little to no
rainfall is expected with the showers Saturday, but gusty winds
outflows to 45 mph will be possible.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...Elevated
to critical fire weather conditions are likely across the high
country and plains south of I-70 on Sunday and Monday as a hot and
very dry airmass moves into the region. Better moisture is
forecast to linger over the far northeast plains. Cooler weather
and better moisture is expected by mid-week. Generally good to
excellent smoke dispersal is forecast in the area Sunday and
Monday though worse dispersal is possible in far northeast
Colorado.
