.DISCUSSION...

Above normal temperatures and dry surface conditions are expected
today. Relative humidity values drop to 17-20 percent in the
afternoon. Winds start out this morning out of the southwest,
transition to northwest in the afternoon. Clouds increase in the
afternoon with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing with
increasing mid-level moisture and instability. 1-5 PM is a most
likely timeframe for showers and storms; however, given the nature
of the scattered coverage chances are less than 40%. Any nearby or
passing thunderstorms will carry the hazard of lightning and gusty
outflow winds up to 45 mph. Chance of wetting rain will be low.
Transport winds out of the west.

Saturday will be cooler with more moisture around. Showers and
thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon with an increased chance
for wetting rain.
