The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN WINDHAM...WESTERN KENT AND PROVIDENCE COUNTIES...

At 416 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Pomfret, or 13
miles north of Plainfield, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Cranston, Coventry, North Providence, Johnston, Plainfield,
Smithfield, Lincoln, Killingly, Burrillville, North Smithfield,
Scituate, Glocester, Putnam, Thompson, Brooklyn, Woodstock, West
Greenwich, Foster, Pomfret, and Sterling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
