Unusual heat is expected across the North Country today through Thursday with lower elevated heat indices crossing 100 degrees and Adirondack valley communities in the mid to upper 90s. Heat impacts are cumulative and will increase the longer these conditions are present, especially considering overnight low temperatures will range from the mid 60s to mid 70s decreasing cooling efficiency of structures. There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms today as well. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
