...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN GRAND ISLE AND
NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH NOON EDT...

At 1118 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Swanton, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Swanton, Swanton Village, St. Albans Town, Highgate Falls,
Highgate, St. Albans City, Sheldon, Fairfield, Lake Carmi State Park,
Fletcher, Georgia, Bakersfield, Fairfax, Swanton Junction, Kill Kare
State Park, Sheldon Junction, Highgate Center, St. Albans Bay, and
North Sheldon.

This includes Interstate 89 between mile markers 112 and 127.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
