...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ESSEX AND
NORTHWESTERN ADDISON COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM EDT...

At 206 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
D A R State Park, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Middlebury, Vergennes, Westport, Ferrisburg, Weybridge, Waltham,
Bristol, New Haven, Panton, Addison, D A R State Park, Ferrisburgh,
Starksboro, Monkton, Cornwall, Bridport, Owls Head Bay, North West
Bay, Mud Island, and Potash Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Champlain, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northern New York...and central Vermont.
