...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ORANGE...
SOUTHEASTERN ADDISON...NORTHERN RUTLAND AND NORTHWESTERN WINDSOR
COUNTIES THROUGH 245 PM EDT...

At 212 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Rochester, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Braintree Hill, Hancock, Bethel, Randolph, Rochester, Braintree,
Granville, Goshen, Barnard, Pittsfield, Ripton, Stockbridge,
Royalton, Tunbridge, Chittenden, East Randolph, Randolph Center, East
Bethel, West Bethel, and South Randolph.

This includes Interstate 89 between mile markers 23 and 33.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central and southern Vermont.
