  Lake Erie from Buffalo Harbor to Sturgeon Point...
 The Upper Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 431 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 17 nm southwest of
  Lewiston, or 20 nm southwest of Niagara River, moving southeast at
  15 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  Small Boat Harbor, Grand Island, Wanakah, Woodlawn Beach, Erie
  Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Athol Springs, and Bayview.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on
the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from
ungrounded metal objects.
