...Strong Thunderstorms Possible This Evening...

Scattered thunderstorms found across parts of the western Southern
Tier...Genesee valley at 8 PM will advance across the Finger Lakes
region during the course of this evening. The slow moving storms
will generate torrential downpours that could produce as much as
two inches of rain in less than an hour...along with frequent
cloud to ground lightning and localized wind gusts in excess of
50 mph. Small hail cannot be ruled out.

The storms should move out of these areas by 11 PM.
