Showers and isolated weak thunderstorms are possible this afternoon over the southwest mountains and foothills with showers possible over SE MT as well. High temperatures will be in the 80s/low 90s with RH values generally above 25%. Isolated showers will continue into the overnight hours with low confidence on the exact locations. For Thursday, showers and thunderstorms associated with a cold front could bring strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds, large hail and a possible tornado. With regards to timing of the front, western zones will likely be midday, central zones mid afternoon with the far east around 6 pm MDT. Gusty NW winds (30-40 mph) will follow the frontal passage into the early evening hours. Gusty NW winds will pick up again during the day Friday with cooler conditions likely.
